Welcome to Crooked River Challenge! We are excited to provide you with a fantastic race in the beautiful high desert of Central Oregon.  We are located on 200 acres just outside of Madras with 360 degree views of wide open country, the perfect location for a successful one loft pigeon race.

Our new Loft measures 60’ x 12’  with 10 sections.  Each section is attached to an outdoor aviary measuring 3’x6’ and the loft has expanded metal floors that are conducive to optimal health in the dry climate of Central Oregon.

I fell in love with pigeons in my early teens and was fortunate to befriend the great racer Joe Haas.  He took me under his wing and taught me how to train and fly with the Cream City Flying Club in Wisconsin. I took several years off of racing pigeons to train sled dogs in my 20s and eventually made it to Oregon in 2007.  I acquired an Animal Science degree with an emphasis in poultry from Oregon State University and began racing pigeons again with the Oregon Trail Combine.  2015 has been a great year for us with a recent purchase of our Madras property and a great old bird season with the St. Helens Combine.  I will miss this great group of guys but will look forward to racing with the Central Oregon Racing Pigeon Club.

Crooked River Challenge will be my full-time job -- if something I love this much can even be called a job!  I am completely dedicated to making this race a huge success. I will pull from my animal science degree, bird breeding background, and my years of pigeon racing in order to make sure we have optimal bird health and performance. I am passionate about racing, and thoroughly enjoy the training process from beginning to end. I’ll treat your birds as if they were my own!

Thank you again for your interest and I look forward to working for everyone.  Please feel free to call, text, or email anytime.
